We had a mind-elevating experience last weekend. Nightmares on Wax recreated the entirety of their Carboot Soul LP with The Outlook Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall. Opening with the soaring strings on the first track Les Nuits it was a night full of emotions and reminded us of why we love what we do: recreating the experience and beauty of live music in the comfort of our homes.
Like the cherry blossom currently bursting into life, we're continuously finding ways to hear our music with new zest and insight. Spring is the perfect time to refresh your listening space and discover hidden sounds in your music collection.

There’s a great 4-part podcast on Nina Simone. Listen here It explores her activism, her musical genius, and her uncompromising attitude to everything!
2. Alice Coltrane - “Turiya & Ramakrishna”
Spiritual jazz at its finest.
3. Mort Garson - “Plantasia”
The master of the Moog, and his ode to plant life. The original LP was only available to customers who bought a houseplant from a store called Mother Earth on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles.
4. Nightmares on Wax - “Les Nuits”
The opening track of NOW’s classic Carboot Soul. The Harbeth SHL5plusXD were made for this album, which is currently celebrating its 25th Anniversary.
