This month, we have a special feature on a brand we greatly admire - Gold Note. We learn about their meticulous design and build ethos - hi-fi manufactured in their factory within the idyllic Tuscan hills.
Linn has just released the much anticipated Bedrok plinth. Constructed from layered beech - the Bedrok is a beautiful-looking upgrade in performance for the iconic LP12 Sondek turntable.
Another future classic is the Rega Planar 3 RS Edition - a special edition turntable featuring a new aluminium metal skin HPL laminate, the handmade RB330 tonearm and the award-winning Nd5 moving magnet cartridge. These are limited and priced at £999. Find out more.
We also added an Expert Hi-Fi Review section to our site. It has in-depth reviews, of all the hi-fi we currently have on demo, by those we respect from the hi-fi press. Explore the archive here.
Finally, make sure to check the latest additions to our Ex-Demo Sale. We have some hi-fi bargains from iconic brands such as Wilson Audio, dCS & Dan D'Agostino.
Hope to see you soon,
Dean & Alex

Linn Bedrok Plinth - LP12 Performance Upgrade
Bedrok™ for Sondek LP12 is the first-ever, plinth performance upgrade from Linn. Formed of orthogonal layers of beech placed under extreme pressure and heat to create an entirely new, solid and massive material; this engineered, ultra-dense wood has negligible resonance and offers a superior isolating housing for your turntable’s mechanism.

Music & Culture
Music on the shop stereo
Below is a selection of current favourites playing in the demo room:
1. Aphex Twin - Music from the Merch Desk (2016-2023)
A collection of tunes by Aphex Twin previously sold in limited numbers at his live shows.
2. Jorge Ben Jor - “Samba Esquema Novo” LP
Sounds of the Universe has an auction of rare Brazilian LPs which ends on Fri. 8th Feb 2025. This gem is one of them. Explore the auction here.
3. Sault - “Acts of Faith” LP
The new album from the prolific Sault. Soul, funk & gospel - expertly produced by Inflo.
4. The Beach Boys - “The Smile Sessions” LP
A lost classic - The Beach Boys abandoned this, after recording it in 1966, partly due to Brian Wilson’s erratic behaviour and increased drug use. Created to rival The Beatles “Sgt. Peppers.” It thankfully got released as a box-set compilation in 2011.
Played on: Aurender AP20 Streaming Integrated Amp with YG Acoustics Carmel 3 Reference Loudspeakers.
Music & Culture
David Lynch (1946-2025)
We are sad to hear of the passing of David Lynch, the visionary film director and master of the sinister & surreal. Giving us classics such as Twin Peaks (1990-91) and Eraserhead (1977).
Much like Tarantino, Lynch’s films are inextricably linked with their soundtracks, something he embraced:
“…people call me a director, I really think of myself as a sound man.”
Angelo Badalamenti’s theme tune to Twin Peaks will forever haunt our dreams.
